JuggernautAI vs phase.fitness
Both write the program for you instead of handing you a template. The difference is scope: one is built around the three competition lifts, the other around a week that also contains running, rowing and a bar.
Updated
The short answer
JuggernautAI is a powerlifting and powerbuilding app: you describe yourself and its algorithms build an individualized plan that adjusts to your feedback, on iOS and Android, at $34.99 a month or $349.99 a year after a two-week trial. phase.fitness plans three modalities in the same periodized program — barbell work, endurance and bodyweight skills — and executes them in the apps you already use rather than in itself. If your goal is a bigger total and nothing else, Juggernaut is the more focused tool. If your week has a long run in it, phase.fitness is the one that plans the whole week.
What JuggernautAI is
An app that builds individualized powerlifting and powerbuilding programs from your answers and your session feedback, from a coaching company that has been publishing strength material since 2009.
Everything below comes from their own site, read on . Where a page did not say something, the row says so rather than guessing — “not stated” means we could not find it, not that the product cannot do it.
Side by side
What it plans
The first question is whether the app covers the whole of your week or one part of it.
Price
Both charge; the shapes differ, and so does what a month buys.
Where you train
A planner that cannot send the session out makes you log twice.
JuggernautAI
Sessions are run in the app itself; the pages we read do not mention sending them to another app or a watch.
Checked
phase.fitness
Two-way with Garmin, Hevy, Intervals.icu and Liftosaur: planned sessions go out, completed ones come back. Sessions finished in phase.fitness can also be posted to Strava.

Platform
Whether you need to install something, and on what.
Adapting after a block
Reading a finished block is the part that separates a planner from a template.
Bodyweight skills
Muscle-ups and levers have no home in a barbell exercise catalogue.
JuggernautAI
Not mentioned on the pages we read, which describe an exercise database built around lifting.
Checked
phase.fitness
Eight skills on deterministic progressions, run in a built-in player, inside the same week as the lifting.

When JuggernautAI is the better choice
- Your goal is a powerlifting total and your week contains nothing else.
- You want a meet-day plan with attempt selection, which Juggernaut builds from your training history.
- You want the coaching material — videos, seminars, a Q&A with the coaches — that comes with the subscription.
- You want a native app on your phone today and do not want to install a web app in the meantime.
When phase.fitness is
- Your week has lifting and endurance in it, and you want them ordered rather than stacked.
- You already train in Hevy, Garmin, Intervals.icu or Liftosaur and want to keep doing that.
- You want calisthenics skills programmed alongside the barbell work.
- You would rather pay quarterly than monthly.
Where to start in phase.fitness
- Powerlifting program: accumulate, intensify, peak — phase.fitness writes a powerlifting block from the document its generator reads: a volume phase at 65–80%, a strength phase at 75–90%, a peak at 85–100%, weekly sets per lift set by your experience, and every load regulated by RPE.
- Bench press specialization program — Specializing means one lift gets the good days and everything else gets enough to not go backwards. phase.fitness writes that trade-off explicitly: bench frequency up, squat and deadlift volume down, and a date when the block ends.
- Running and lifting in the same week — Running and lifting in the same week is not two plans stapled together. phase.fitness writes one: the order of the days is a decision the plan makes, one quality leads per phase, and the strength stays heavy and short so it never eats the run that matters.
- phase.fitness for powerlifters
- phase.fitness for hybrid athletes
- phase.fitness for Hevy users
Questions
Is phase.fitness a JuggernautAI alternative?
For a hybrid week, yes. phase.fitness plans strength, cardio and calisthenics in one periodized program and sends the sessions to the app you already train in. For a pure powerlifting total with meet-day attempt selection, Juggernaut is the more specialised tool.
What does each one cost?
JuggernautAI lists $34.99 a month or $349.99 a year with a two-week trial, checked on their site in September 2026. phase.fitness is $34.90 every three months or $104.70 a year, and has no monthly plan.
Can either one send workouts to my watch?
phase.fitness does: planned sessions go to Garmin, Hevy, Intervals.icu and Liftosaur, and the completed ones come back; sessions finished in phase.fitness can also be posted to Strava. The JuggernautAI pages we read do not mention sending sessions to another app or a watch.
